Dance Shoe Or Fashion Shoe. Why Are Burju Shoes So Comfortable?

Have you ever wondered why your Burjus are just so dang comfortable? Well, to answer that question I’m going to tell you a little story today....

I used to be just like you. I was obsessed with shoes (and still am!) but I struggled to find footwear that not only looked high fashion but also didn’t let me down when it came to comfort. 

I’m an ex-dancer, so I’m used to wearing heels all the time, but I was frustrated. My dance shoes were designed to support my feet and allow movement, but my fashion shoes were letting me down in all these areas. They just didn’t cut it.  

It felt like I was always having to choose between style and comfort. I couldn’t get both. 

And I was constantly having to carry a second pair of shoes with me every day to swap out once my feet got sore. It was a crazy situation. 

Then one day it hit me. What if my fashion shoes could be designed with the same level of amazing comfort and support as my dance shoes? What if they could have support in all the right places, padding, durability, and flexibility? 

They’d be the world’s most perfect shoe, right? Hell yeah! 

So that’s what my husband and I did. We created Burju, and the rest is history.

After reading all this, you’re probably wondering whether our shoes are dance shoes or street shoes. Well, they’re whatever you need them to be…. 

• We’ve made sure you can order them with a street sole for all surfaces, or a suede sole for the dancefloor. Warning: don’t wear your suede soles on the street or you’ll damage that beautiful material! 

• They have a fantastic snug but not tight fit that makes them perfect for all-day wear - and we have made a fitting guide to help you! >

• You can customize your heel height and style depending on what you need and what you feel comfortable in

Bottom line

All our shoes have the same level of amazing support, padding and ultra comfort that a dancer would enjoy, which means they’ll never let you down, whether you’re strutting the sidewalk or the dancefloor.
